My blog title never seemed so appropriate.

Is this thing on? Very appropriate it seems. Has it really been over two years since I've last updated this thing? So much has happened during that time. Let's see here...

I work for a new company and a different position than before. After nearly two and half years at my old company, it was time to move on. I enjoy working for my new company, even though some of the policies are simply idiotic. (You have 100 hours of sick time, perfect attendance, call in once, here is your write up sir.)

Relationships... they come and go. I spent almost the entire last year with one girl in particular, which was a great but yet very bad relationship in many many ways. In the end I choose to turn a blind eye to many issues and unfortunately paid quite a price for it. But as with everything else, sometimes no matter what you may hear or be warned about, you have to learn on your own.

I've taken a step back since then, living a bit more for myself for the time being. Spending more time with friends, limiting the seriousness of relationships and in general taking things as stress free as possible.

I've also FINALLY got around to getting my motorcycle license and a cycle. Too many things kept pushing this off over the years, but now that's taken care of. I purchased a '94 Kawasaki Ninja and have been having a blast with it.

Also I've switched to working third shfit. I originally took the shift to have my schedule work with my girlfriend's at the time for care of her son. Since then I've just kind of stuck with the schedule, but not sure for how much longer. The shift is good as far as I get every weekend off, but I never realized how much it screws up your weekdays.

Speaking of which, time for me to go to lunch (4 am lunch... ugh, lol). I'll see if I can't update this a bit more. But feel free to look me up on myspace and facebook.

Adios.

Ho hum...

Ever since I was introduced to MySpace by my friend Kelly, I've slowly forgotten all about this little blog of mine. It sits here just waiting and waiting for me to update it. And I just leave it neglected. It's really a shame, it's a cool looking page that someone was nice enough to make for me quite awhile ago. Well, maybe I should show it some love.

Work. Work has been pretty cool and yet insane at the same time lately. I work on a new program doing Quality Assurance for an American Express business to business program. I feel kind of honored as I was hand picked out of my department for this, and it really is a great opportunity. I have a lot more responsibility in my new position, but I get a lot more "props" from managers and business directors as well with the job I have been doing. I miss the little group I used to work with. Ah well, all just another chapter in the work game.

Gaming... gaming has been pretty much nonexistant. I cancelled my World of Warcraft account last month. I installed and started playing Oblivion, but that's slowed down quite a bit. I reinstalled Half-Life 2 for some fun, but even that's been miniumal play time. I've been able to keep myself happily busy and not just sitting at home. Joined a work softball league which has so far been pretty fun. They cut off the teams at 12 teams of up to 20 players each and there are more teams that wanted to join. I sometimes forget exactly how big of a company I work for. Made quite a few friends at work that I've been hanging out with more often now. Between happy hours and weekend bar hopping on the Ave, good times had.

My birthday was freaking awesome. Both times I celebrated it. Thank you Nicole and Amanda for driving for me those nights. Hmm... I drank. A lot. Lots of good and bad went down those nights. I'll leave it at that.

It's weird having a roomate again. It's cool, and probably the best roomate I've ever had. But still weird.

Later.

Youtube.com is pretty cool.

After doing some browsing around, I ran across this little gem.

Enjoy.

Just a little something.

Tired, going to bed, but wanted to throw a little some some up here for now. The NIN concert pretty much rocked my world. I might post some more detail about it later, but the energy and presentation of the show was amazing.

Work has been pretty crazy lately. I have a new boss, and not under the best circumstances. I am trying to keep an optimistic mind about the direction the department is going, but we'll see.

We got lots of snow. Yay.

If I kill Rend one more time and my Spaulders of Valor don't drop, I may just drive to Blizzard HQ and maim some people. Seriously, I've killed him 25 times. Grrrr....

I went through a bottle of Bicardi Limon at a get together at Chris and Nicole's house on Friday. It was a good time. Saturday was not so kind.

I think Barren fell off the face of the earth.

That's all I can muster up, long day and I have an early start tomorrow to get to.

Good night.

Oh yeah, congratulations to the newest couple to tie it up.

Nine Inch Nails + Free Tickets = Win.

Well, that was an odd twist of fate. I had originally planned on going to see NIN on the 11th in Illinois. Then I changed my mind and decided to see Sevendust instead, closer and would be cheaper. Then I cancelled that for Ben's birthday festivities. I figured it would now be too late to get tickets to the NIN show on the 14th, and didn't worry about it. Then on the way to work, the radio guy says on the air, "name the song that these lyrics are to and win NIN tickets for the 14th, "devils speak of the ways in which she'll manifest
angels bleed from the tainted touch of my caress"" Well, I'm not a huge NIN fan, but enough to consider them one of my all time favs and knowing most of thier songs. Called up the station and let'm know the song was Reptile. Booyah, free tickets! I haven't decided who I am going to take with me yet, but should be a good time regardless.

What else has been going on.... been having a kick ass time at work. I have a lot of responsibility with my job, it is challenging yet fun and rewarding at the same time. Two other departments have actually tried to recruit me to their divisions, but i'm happy where I am at right now.

Besides that, been hanging out with new groups of people I have met through work and friends of friends. Happy hour at The Bar is evil, "just stick around for one more drink...". Bleh, dragging ass at work the next day is fun, really...

Anywho, gotta run kids. Have a good weekend!

New Year.

The start of a new year, figured I could at least do my blog the honor of posting on it in the first week.

I've heard a lot about My Space, but never really checked it out. Finally got around to it and started setting up a page for myself on there. I put a link on the right if you want to check it out, or click here. Kind of a cool site they have setup with people networking all over. Already ran across people I know but haven't talked to in a long time. A shout out to my buddy Matt who's living it up in Sin City.

What else is new... hmm... Oh yeah. I not only placed in both of my fantasy football leagues this year, I took 1st in one and 2nd in the other. Needless to say redemption was pretty sweet. I'm not sure if I will play again next year or not yet, we'll see. There were some shady things that went down that I didn't care for.

Went out to the movies a few times as of late and saw Walk the Line, Chronicles of Narnia and King Kong. I really enjoyed all three movies, but each of them each had their good and bad points. I'm limiting my time for this update so I won't give you my full review on them. I definitely think all three are worth seeing in the theater. I also am wanting to see Wolf Creek, but no one I know wants to see it :)

Thought about seeing Nine Inch Nails in February, but have changed my mind. Sevendust is playing the same day in Appleton, so that is a nice alternative to save a little cash and still see a band I really like.

Played some poker last night at Cohiba's. Was a lot of fun, and yes it's easier to say that when you win twice. Cohiba got a nice new poker table and he was the first one to spill on it, hah :)

Christmas was awesome this year. I ended up spending two days up by my parents. My brother moved into a house right across the street from my parents and had a little get together Christmas night. Was nice to spend time with my two new nieces and with my siblings. Also go the perfect gift of cash from my parents, always a good present.

Work has been interesting as of late. Trying to work with people in San Antonio over the phone has been... interesting... I guess is the word to use. I am responsible for so much of what's going on in their department, but receive little to no communication from them. Luckily my boss is actually a good boss and realizes what is going on and basically said "cover your responsibilities and they are on their own for theirs". The people I directly work with in my department I like for the most part. Things will be different in May when Missy moves away. She is a really cool person and I wish her nothing but the best with her up coming marriage and move.

I think that I am going to leave a little blurb at the bottom of my posts of what I am watching and listening to when I post. But I am sure that I will forget to do it after a few posts. I thought it would be interesting for myself atleast since I always seem to be listening to MP3s while I have the T.V. on in the background while I'm on the computer. Usually the T.V. is muted, so I honestly don't know why I even pay for cable. Besides movies I watch maybe 2-4 hours of T.V. a week. That is time that I actually sit down and focus on what I'm watching.

Catch you kids on the flip side.
