Is it September 12th yet?

That's the day we start out new schedules at work. Granted I don't even know what my new schedule is going to be til next week, but anything has to be better than working 10 hours every Sunday. At first I never thought it would be a big deal, but damn, 10 hours, plus an hour lunch on top of that, it eats up the entire day! Meh.

Went down to Great America last weekend, w00t!Great America + my fear of heights = good fun! As I climb the top of rides such as V2, American Eagle and Raging Bull, I feel my stomch drop and my lungs cease to work. And it's a blast :) I did however chicken out on the big drop. My lady friend won a package from work with free tickets, free meal tickets, free parking pass and extra bugs bunny dollars to spend. On top of that, we took the tickets to customer service down there, and they gave us two more free tickets! Also, another lady at work won free tickets, but she's only going once, so she is going to give us her extra 2 she will get when she gets down there, pick n save has a buy one get one free on GA tickets, and another person has a $20 off a ticket coupon. Soooo, we're gonna go down there again this Tuesday and take 6 of her nephews and neices, one who has a season pass, so we'll only have to buy maybe 1 1/2 tickets total. Should be a great time once again, and hopefully it won't be nearly as busy with it being on a weekday this time.

Doom 3 is very scary, and very fun! To all the people bad mouthing it because it's not "different enough", I say blah. Also been playing a bit of City of Heroes, and it's a hoot. I've made a bunch of different characters and leveled them up just a bit to get a feel for each type. Granted it's still at low levels, but so far I like just about every character type I have played. Currently I'm working on a Empathy/Psionics Magic Defender. It's alot of fun so far, but I've been reading message boards and it seems that unless you take alot of secondary pool powers to buff and otherwise help out the group, even if your a quick and powerful healer, your not as useful as secondary healers with with better 'other' powers. I'm gonna look a bit more into it, possibly remake my character once again.

FVbN has finally resumed, next event is this Saturday. Of course as it would be, other plans have devolped, and I may need to cut my game time from that short. I'm going to try to atleast show up for half the game, and play it by ear from there.

Newlarp is the following weekend, but between working 2 out of the 3 days of the events, a birthday party and attending my fantasy football draft I may have to skip out of part or all of the event. On the one hand it's annoying that I have missed so much of the stuff I use to do on a regular basis, on the other hand it's also been nice having something to do every weekend of the summer. My farmer tan is getting fairly impressive :)

Went to Fratellos the other night with a couple friends, I think it might be my favorite resturant in Oshkosh. It's a shame that living across the river from it for years, but I've only started going there recently.

Might be a fairly large change in my life in the next month or two, but nothing definite just yet. I'll post more if/when it happens.

Back to work, back to crotchety old men telling me how much cable sucks and where I can stick my rising rates. Later.

And the lord said, "Let there be gaming!"

Yes, beyond the multitude of PS2, Gamecube, Xbox and other PC games I have purchased lately, I have picked up two titles that could possibly consume every second that I have for gaming. I have severely limited my gametime compared to what it used to be. I usually go for a few days without playing any games, and then I'll sit down and veg for 2-4 hours straight on some games. Anywho, I digress.... City of Heroes was first up to bat. Granted, I've only put about an hour total into it so far, it seems damn cool. Made a couple of characters, then took one of them out cruising around town and completed a couple of the beginner missions. The game play is pretty cool, character creation is awesome... BUT THERE'S NO INVENTORY!!! This is a bad thing for someone like me. I'm a packrat. I will stock up on just about anything I can in a game. If it could be anywhere remotely useful to me some point in the game, I'll keep it. Beyond that, I like how smoothly the game plays. Running through town, getting beat up by street punks and fleeing for my life. Fun fun fun.
Next up is Doom III, which I will be getting tomorrow. From friends who are already playing it, to game reviews online and in the mags, it seems like it's all that it was cracked up to be. Game play is supposed to be superb with smooth graphics and interesting storyline. Can't wait!

My brother's wedding went off without a hitch. As I said before, the crazy kids are in love. Way too young to get married, but I still wish them both the best. It was also my first wedding that I not only stood in, but was best-man. It was a nice warm-up for when I will be standing in my friend Chad's wedding coming up in September and Best-man in my friend Chris's wedding in May.

Coming back to work after being gone for a week sucked. Sucked even more that I was sick 2 days of my little vacation. Luckily the sickness passed before I had to attend the wedding or hang out with my friend Matt who flew in from Las Vegas. Speaking of the visit, that was a lot of fun also. Went out as 3 couples for dinner and to shoot some pool. Afterwards we headed down to Barley and Hops, Matt is fairly good friends with the owner Nate since Matt was a regular back when it was Nads. Afterwards we all went out for some some late night dining at the ole Perkins and ran into a tired corpse that resembled Barren :)

Work is work. It sucks. It pays the bills. Blah.

Other than that, I got nothing. Aidos.
