Blarg says the llama! Sweet sweet FVbN has come and gone. Actually an ass load of boringness for myself, but that's to be expected at this kind of event. Playing a dark, quiet and secluded character can lead to a dull game sometimes, but that's alright. It's funny how people thought my last character was a badass, when my new one can waste my old character in one round, or maybe just one action :) Next event should be pretty good, lots of plot stuff happened, new Master of Harpies, soon new Keeper of Elysium. Also Simon is back, and looks to be in "I'm a fucking Archon now, listen up bitchs!" mode. Is it bad to know of atleast 9 characters there are contracts out on? :) Work is work. Kahlora is totally engrossed in Kingdom Hearts, which is actually ok, because if I was on the PS2 I'd just be getting pissed at how utterly and insanely hard some of the missions in GTA: Vice City are. Yeah, the first I dunno, 5-10 missions, not too bad. After that...wtf are they expecting? You'll be in a mission, and your getting to a get-away part, and suddenly your wanted 2 stars or better. And of course you have to drive some piece of shit van or something, and the cops just own you then. GRRRrrrrrrrr...... Heh, I'm usually pretty good at games like that too, oh well. TBCS coming up soon, less than two weeks! Now that I got over quadruple my old HD space, I can load up on some goodies. And yes I'm thinking actual real movies(read: not pron) as it seems everytime someone mentions a movie, I don't see nearly as many as before. I own movies I haven't watched yet, ugh. Well, I got that thing to do.. later.

Another day, another dollar. Between another card tournament, work, PC games, and my new console system, who has time to post? Took third place in a decent sized tournament this weekend, which isn't bad considering I was playing a deck most people consider bad. Work is work. Actually Charter is amazingly bad, during the 4th qtr of the NFC Championship game, FOX went out in the entire Madison area, including all it's suburbs. That's right, not a complete cable out, just that one channel that half the city was watching. Enough people were cool with it and just wanted to let us know it's out, and when it would be back on. I only had to hang up on two people for being complete jackass's on the phone. PC games, not so much on as before, still playing CS when my clanmates are on, and practices. Works out kinda nice, most of the clan is older(read: 18-30ish, not 12-17 and acting like idiots) and they are a great group of guys to game with, well guys and one gal. On to the new console I finally decided to get. Let's go over the reviews of each of the big three first. #1. Xbox. The graphics look very very nice on almost every game I have seen for it. It's title base is growing, and the game system comes with 2 free games. Of course only one of which I would actually play much. They finally decided to be smart and make smaller controllers for those without gorilla sized hands. Downsides? Title base isn't quite as big as the others, and some of the games that get huge raves like Halo, I've tried and actually didn't care a whole lot for. Yeah it's kinda cool, but nothing I'm gonna drool over. #2. Gamecube. Again with this system, the graphics look pretty good on alot of games. I really like the looks and feel of Rogue Squadron and Madden 2k2. It's title base is growing also. Downsides? Nintendo advertises that games will be going down, and best sellers will also. I see most of those "discounted" games still at the store for 35-40 bucks. 10 bucks off an old game, no thanks. Also, and I kinda felt this way about the N64 also, alot of the games seem "kiddish". With the Mario games and some others I've seen, I dunno, maybe just not for me. #3. Playstation2. Vice City! Oh sorry :) Yeah it does have the current king of titles exclusively, and also has the largest game library as it has been out longer. It plays DVDs without some fancy adapter(already owning a dvd player, but it's a nice feature), and also has a larger roleplaying title base which Katie is into. Graphics are pretty nice on alot of games, you just have to take the time to weed out the crap. Downsides? Doesn't matter, this is the system I picked :) Went out got the system, some memory cards, Vice City, and proceeded to take it home and veg for 3 hours running over hookers and stealing cop cars. Quality gaming. FVbN looms closer, but as it does I have doubts about the game. First off it's on Super Bowl Sunday, so does that mean people aren't going to show? Secondly, our last mini-event we had an agenda, to name the new Master of Harpies, so it gave us focus. This game, hmm.. I don't know if anything actually needs to be done, cept for a few people dieing :) Well, I am gonna be late for work, so I must skee-daddle.

Yap yap yappy Spending plenty of time accomplishing nothing. Work, T.V. and games have filled my days for the past week, cept for a few brief visits to the store. Personally I'm cool with that, cept for my better half keeps trying to make me a responsible adult :) Go Bucaneers! And yes I feel the eyes of everyone when I wear my Buc's jersey in public, think my luck of not getting trounced for wearing it is gonna run out :) When I do my daily surf of people's websites that I generally look at, I feel a little guilty of not posting as much as I thought I would. But then I look at good ole Ben's site among others, and i see that I do post more than once a month, so it's all good. Can't wait for the one-shot FVbN event, It has the very real possibilty of player deaths, and would I do that two mini-events in a row? I'm much too nice for something like that. MOOHAHAHAHAHAhahahahahah... errmm.. sorry about that. Getting a little closer to TBCS, which I do hope is a good time. It usually is a good time, sometimes a little slow, but with a assortment of multiplayer FPS games along with a few RTS games, It will have to be good. I'm trying to recruit a few guys from work, but not sure if they have registered with the site yet. Possiblity of bringing in 4-8 new members, who all seem to enjoy the multiplayer game genre. Lunch break is almost over, so I shall remove myself from a computer with net access to a computer with uber-restriction net access. Yeah, I can check out Fox News, but how much news can you read in one day....

In the intrest of being lazy.. I shall let my laziness take over and simply post another test, which oddly enough matchs Katie's results. ![]()

Kinda cool test. Man, i'm an evil bastard :( I Am A: Chaotic Evil Human Mage Fighter Alignment: Chaotic Evil characters are the most 'evil' people out there. They are willing to do anything to get ahead, and will kill anyone who stands in their way. A chaotic evil person sees no value in order and governments, and believes to the utmost in the tenant that 'Might Makes Right'. Race: Humans are the 'average' race. They have the shortest life spans, and because of this, they tend to avoid the racial prejudices that other races are known for. They are also very curious and tend to live 'for the moment'. Primary Class: Mages harness the magical energies for their own use. Spells, spell books, and long hours in the library are their loves. While often not physically strong, their mental talents can make up for this. Secondary Class: Fighters are the warriors. They use weapons to accomplish their goals. This isn't to say that they aren't intelligent, but that they do, in fact, believe that violence is frequently the answer. Deity: Velsharoon is the Neutral Evil god of necromancy, liches, and undeath. He is also known as the Vaunted, the Archmage of Necromancy, and the Lord of the Forgotten Crypt. His followers practice the necromantic arts, and raise the dead to do their bidding. His symbol is a crowned skull. Find out What D&D Character Are You?, courtesy of ![]()

It's all a blur. Work, New Years, Work, Winter Social and of course more Work. Work, yeah, we don't need to go into that. New Years Eve and Day. I worked both, drank one whole wine cooler at Katie's mom's house since I didn't get there til close to midnight, and had to work in the morning. That will make you feel old :( This past Saturday we held our annual Winter Social, and it rocked! Now that I've watched The Two Towers again in the theater, I have no desire to see it again til it comes out on DVD. The food and games afterwards was a pretty damn good time if I do say so myself. In Epic Duels, I have determined that Yoda blows if his opponents leave him for last, and the whole "I'll move the Emperor into melee" is funny, but effective late in the game. I got errands and stuff to do since I wasn't "feeling well" today, I never had floating holidays at my other jobs! |
