How about a damn update already?

Things going on since last week. Christmas has come and passed, leaving me with new toys, including an unexpected present. My computer decided it has had enough of me, and has crapped out one more time. Time to retire the beast and pick up someone else's computer! BoogieQ just happened to be in the market of selling his machine so he could get a laptop, isn't it nice how things work out like that? :) The computer is nothing to brag about, but considering how things are going with Katie being out of work for 3 weeks now because of her surgery, I'm more than happy with my new computer. Upgraded from a PIII 800 /w to a AMD 1700XP, so I'm a bit speedier now.

Fox Valley by Night was pretty good, cept for the fact I was overheating half the time wearing my coat in a building that's heated to 75 degrees. It's amazing how previously I only had one thing I was to accomplish for now, but with a few actions of people during the night, I suddenly have 7 more things to do :) We had three new players, which is always good, because some of our other players seem to be skipping events, and I like having as many people around to interact with as possible.

Winter Social for NEWLARP is coming up this weekend, should be alot of fun. Going to see The Lord of the Rings:The Two Towers again. After that getting the eat on, and some party type games.

The next FVbN event isn't going to be til atleast the middle of Feb or later, and NEWLARP doesn't start til April/May, I WANT MY LARP FIX DAMNIT :) Well enough of the rant, I must get off my ass and get slaving for the man, toodles.

Bah humbu...err.. Merry X-Mas!

So much, yet so little is happening. Anything intresting happened lately.. well, Katie and I almost died Saturday night. If your at a cross-section of a 4 lane divided highway, and you see a car approaching you going 65 mph, do you think it's a good idea to pull out in front of that car? Apparently some worthless piece of shit, he even crept out just a bit at first, so I thought he wasn't gonna pull out, then sure enough, he fully drives into the middle of the god damn highway. After slamming on the breaks, swearving to not hit him, swearving again to avoid the ditch in the middle, and ending up doing a 180 degree turn all on a dry road, he simply stops long enough for the next car to pass and then drives off. Doesn't even have the fucking courtesy to ask if we're ok, for the near fatal accident he caused. I must have missed him by less than a foot, cause at first it sure as hell looked like I was gonna hit him head on. The real shitty part of it is I drive on the highway to work and back, and now every single moron who's swerving in and out of lanes without looking or signally I'm ready to push them off the road, get out of my car and beat them down with a baseball bat. Yeah, I've got some anger issues, deal.

Work is extremely slow right now, which is actually not bad since I really enjoy talking to the people who sit around me. Since I'm working some OT on xmas, I don't get to open any presents til xmas night :( Which completly blows ass. For 20 years of my life it's family tradition to open presents on the night of xmas eve, but Katie's tradition which apparently I have no say in, is xmas morning. And since she doesn't want to visit her parents early, my whiney ass has to wait roughly 24 hours longer than usual!

Yeah, there's world hunger, violence, hate and everything else going on, and here I am whinning about not being able to open my presents. This is my little part of the world, so until I get a magic wand and can change everything wrong in the world, fuck off. I donate old clothes, I drop money in the donation tins, I helped buy stuff for a family we sponsored for my team at work. I do what I reasonably can, but I am just one man, well boy as Katie would say :)

Well now, on that completely depressing note, I'm heading off to work, adios!

Getting about that time again.

Christmas with the family will be partially early this year. I decided to work some OT on Christmas Day, so we'll be traveling up north to visit my Dad this Saturday instead of this Wednesday. Which isn't entirely bad, cept now I will miss my christmas party for my team at work. Which again, isn't entirely bad.

LoTR:TTT was amazing, simply amazing. The night was further highlighted by some typical teenager, greasey unkept afro hair, hemp necklace and english of a third grade dropout, who amazingly enough left his car in neutral, which of course led to his car rolling into mine. Yes I love long ass run-on sentences. A two car, unmanned accident, lucky me.

FVbN is looming closer and closer, and things may turn very good, or very bad for my character. All depends on who all shows up to a certain meeting, and how they react. Needless to say, it's possible for more than a character or two to die in the rumble, if it happens. Another thing that is kinda nagging at me, and I have to let it out is, "How much free xp is given out?" I know in the past 1 extra xp was given out to anyone who helped clean up, and at first, this wasn't exactly let known to everyone. Now the other night, it was said someone was given "Too much xp" for cleaning. WTF? Are people getting multiple xp per event for cleaning up??? If so, nothing I can do about it but make it known that's pretty damn huge. I mentioned how other people do other things for the game, such as cleaning while in character, setting up scenes, helping move tables and chairs around, etc.. And that was completly blown off. To all of it I guess I can only say BAH.

Anywho, I need to get my arse to work, and try to be a productive member of society, unlike how I am on my days off :)

Notes to self...

These are my 5 tips to keeping myself in line when dealing with other living beings.
1. Shut the fuck up.
2. No really, don't try to justify anything, just shut the fuck up.
3. Do not express your opinion in anyway, it will be wrong.
4. Anything that can be taken any other way, blown out of proportion(sp?) or in anyway taken harsher than ment, keep it to yourself.
5. Finally, Shut the fuck up.

In other news, Bob "The Man" Haus has hooked us up with tickets to the midnight showing of TTT tonight. Good thing I have off tomorrow, so I can sleep in as late as I want. I have only but the best expectations of the movie, as I hope it can reach the high pinacle of success the first one was able to get.

74 minutes 28 seconds, that's how long my last call was. I would say maybe 20ish minutes were actually work related. I was in no way going to cut the customer off, as she was pretty plesant considering we short circuited her television set, had technicians out to her house and verified we caused the problems, and she has yet to see any compinsation in 4 weeks. Which proves, shit happens to the nice people.

Well, my lunch is almost over, which is funny. When I first started working here, I thought to myself, "What the fuck am I going to do with an hour long lunch?" Now the hour seems to fly by like nothing :( Enough of my ranting/whining/sniveling, tata.

Third attempt at updating since my last post.

My last two attempts were the first, and of course second times I tried posting without saving my post first. Blogger devoured each of them, I hate you Blogger.

I'm actually posting from work, which blows ass because I have to use this piece of shit computer they have in the break room. It can barely display regular websites normally, as it is just that bad. Basically I've just been working, shopping and finally spending time with Katie since she was released.

Went to the mini-poopshoot this weekend. I had a so-so time, actually I had a pretty good time considering crazy bread was devoured and I got to play some AoM with Steve and Karl. Boo to Ben for not being there for the AoM action, I'm sure he had some lame excuse like work or something.

Well, my huge 15 minute break is almost up, time to get back slaving explaining to people why they have no cable when they owe us $300+ and it's 2-3 months behind. Sigh.

Cross your fingers.

Assuming everything goes as expected, Katie should be leaving the hospital Tuesday or Wednesday at the latest. Things are looking really good, and she is recovering very well. There was a brief scare as there were some "complications" from the surgery, as we got a call from the hospital at 4am Sunday morning. It was not as bad as it sounded, and after half of Sunday Katie was doing good again.

After visiting Katie on Saturday I stopped at a new location for me, Lee's house. Well, his current rental, as he is going to be owning his parents home shortly. I stop in for what I thought would be a few minutes to say "hi" and shoot the shit with him, Tom and Steve. They invite me to eat over since their having dinner in a little bit, next thing I know they talk me into going drinking in Appleton with them. Wasn't a bad time, shot a good deal of pool with Tom, and he proceeded to beat my ass in Golden Tee profoundly. After we left a dive bar we headed over to Park Central, mind you I have never been there. First I was highly impressed, multiple bars/clubs in one building, each with it's own distinct flavor. But after a few hours, and the crowds begin the haze wears down and it's just another over smoked pick-up a date place. I guess that works for some people, and not saying I wouldn't go again, just not exactly changing any plans for it.

My whinning has won out. Both Adam and Ben have finally lifted thier fingers to the heavy duty of linking moi. Btw Adam, I don't think your being rash on the board at all, and your dead on right. It's funny how some of the people are pushing for such simplicity, yet are asking to complicate everything they can. Hey, I can't remember these few common spells that people are casting every event for 2-3 years, but can we have 17 different types of defense spells? blah.

Sleep is required as I have el crapola known as work tomorrow. Just wanted to throw down some thoughts as I currently don't have someone to chat with as much right now.

So tired, yet can't sleep.

It's hard to sleep when the one you love and share you life with is in a hospital, recovering from a major surgery. So far things are looking really good, her doctors have stated the surgery went better than expected. She'll probably be in the hospital for 4-7 days total now, a bit more than she expected, but I was thinking a week myself.

I love the assholes who will refuse to deal with me after I tell them how it is, nicely and politely. Unless you have a titled position, you must be shit. Funny thing is, there are very few things that the Leads and Sups can do for customers that any other employee can't at my place of employment. They have things to actually do, and are kept busy. They are not there to babysit the regular employees as much as other jobs. I guess I just really respect that process.

Josh has made himself a pretty snazzy looking site, I suggest you all take a peek. I fear that Adam may be ready to go postal at work soon. If I didn't work Friday nights, I'd gladly join you for some good eats Bucky.

Rulings are heating up on the NEWLARP board. Some things I could care less about, as my comments usually get flamed so bad it's not worth posting. I have actually posted again on a few things I sense that are going to change, and trying to put in a little input here and there. Either way, I'm pretty excited about Ben running plot, as he's a hell of a ST/GM/DM/whatever you want to call it.

I must retire, as I will be spending most of my day off at the hospital visiting Katie. Good night all.

Tests tests tests......

You are 17% geek
OK, so maybe you ain't a geek. You do, at least, show a bit of interest in the world around you. Either that, or you have enough of a sense of humor to pick some of the sillier answers on the test. Regardless, you're probably a pretty nifty, well-rounded person who gets along fine with people and can chat with just about anyone without fear of looking stupid or foolish or overly concerned with minutiae. God, I hate you.

Take the Polygeek Quiz at Thudfactor.com

I think I should actually start posting these, I've taken quite a few of them, some tests are decent, some aren't worth the internet space they take up. Katie goes under the knife tomorrow morning, and she's pretty excited over it. I of course came home from work and told her to cancel the surgery, to no avail :) I have people to kill, garbage to take out, and sleep to do, so adios!

New look, and I'm liking it!

I gotta give mad props to Katie for the spiffy new look! She mentioned to me, "Hey, give me an idea of what you want to start out with for a site, and I'll see what I can do for ya with some spare time at work." I for sure never expected it to looked nearly this nice, awesome! Just another fine example of how much I don't deserve her :)

In unrelated news, the dentist has been going to town on my mouth, but I'm awake during all of it, so it's cool :) People should really take care of their teeth when they are younger, otherwise you get a mouth of cavities, and yeah, root canals hurt like a mofo. My job may blow in more than a few aspects, but the insurance is really good. Speaking of the insurance, if I understood Katie right, her insurance is picking up 100% of the costs for her surgery, can't complain about that. She'll be out of work 2-6 weeks, but it'll all be good.

[whining] For some reason, not sure if it's my cause or not, my two peeps Adam and Ben refuse to link me up. No biggie I guess, just weird.[/whining]

Two more days before Katie goes under the knife, and I must admit it does make me a little uneasy. How exactly would I respond if the person I've been dating for 5 years was suddenly gone? I'm not sure if I even would want to think about, or rationalize it.

Well, I just downloaded some MechWarrior demo, gonna go give it a whirl, later!
